The Water Authority is continuing our Spring Main Flushing Schedule in North Valley Stream.
Crews will be flushing from 11 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. from Sunday P.M. through Friday A.M.
Door hangers are distributed prior to the start of each section's flushing.
Be sure to finish washing clothes before 10 p.m. and store water in the refrigerator for drinking or cooking after 10 p.m. while we are in your neighborhood.

About Flushing
- Hydrant flushing is performed to clean the water mains by flushing
sediment from the mains and to ensure that fire hydrants are
functioning properly.
- Flushing is performed between the hours of 11PM to 6AM, typically beginning Sunday night and ending Friday morning.
- While flushing is going on in your neighborhood, water may temporarily appear rusty.
- If you experience any discoloration after flushing is completed, please let your cold water run for 15 minutes.
